My sister's baby shower.

My sister Linda is expecting twins in August - one boy, one girl. She's super excited, scared, overwhelmed, all the usual emotions of a first time mommy-to-be. Saturday I threw her baby shower up at her house in Arlington. It went pretty well, everyone seemed to have a good time and Linda was happy but tired when it was over.

The theme was rubber duckies! The food spread (we had tons of food left over):
The drink "cooler" was this rubber ducky baby bathtub. Mikayla has the same tub and loves it. Not only was it cute and fit the shower theme, but Linda can use it for bathing the kiddos when they're a little older.
The table was lined with vases filled with water, with blue stones in the bottom and mini rubber duckies floating on top.
The game prizes on the left (spa kits and chocolate rubber duckies), and the guest favors on the right (chocolate truffles): A close-up of a favor box. They were wrapped with this really pretty green floral silk ribbon and I had custom labels made with a cartoon of Linda and her pregnant belly. She loved them, and said "thank you for making me skinny!" - ha!This was a big hit at the shower, it was a "Tree of Wisdom & Wishes" - the guests wrote mommy advice and welcoming words for the babies on paper flowers, and tied them on the branches for Linda to read later: The cake, a stork with a pair of pink and blue baby booties - so cute!Linda and our parents:My mom and Linda:The biggest shower perk - PRESENTS!

And finally Linda and her husband Irvin, excited parents-to-be!
